The Many Arts of the Deccan: The Nauras

Abdullah Qutb Shah (r. 1626-1672) inherited a precarious kingdom that was under Mughal attack. He had to agree to the difficult terms of an inquiyad-nama, or deed of submission, which all but transformed Golconda into a Mughal protectorate.
